Jinie Technology (Jiangsu) Co., LTD is a top maker and supplier of various flanges. This includes the Class 150 Incoloy UNS N08825 Flanges. The classes can range up to 2500 and PN64. The classes indicate the pressure capabilities of the flanges.
Properties of Incoloy 825 Flange
Incoloy 825 is a high-nickel alloy with chromium, molybdenum and titanium in it. So the material is strong.
The 825 Incoloy Orifice Flange resists corrosion from both reducing and oxidizing substances. This makes it suitable for use in seawater and acid production applications.
The flanges follow different standards. One example is the ANSI B16.5 Alloy 825 Blind Flange.
This flange ranges from ½ inch to 48 inches in diameter. It is used to close a pipe. The blind flanges are useful in testing and measuring parts of a pipeline.
Since titanium is added to the alloy for the Incoloy 825 Lap Joint Flange, the alloy is stabilized. This helps it resist sensitization.
Alloy 825 Blind Flange can be used as welded. It does not easily suffer from intergranular attack after high temperatures. This is especially true in the range that can sensitize unstabilized stainless steel grades.

The alloy is easy to form and can be welded using standard methods. The Incoloy 825 blind flanges can be welded onto pipes or pressure vessels easily. This makes them a time-efficient component. The Class 150 Incoloy 825 socket weld flange resists even highly corrosive reducing environments containing sulfuric or phosphoric acid.
Like many chromium-containing alloys, Alloy 825 flanges offer excellent resistance to oxidizing environments. Their high mechanical strength is enhanced by cold working ranging from cryogenic temperatures up to 540°C.
ASME B16.5 Incoloy 825 flanges can only be made from annealed material. It can be furnished in a variety of types, including welding neck, slip-on, blind, threaded, lap joint, long weld neck, and socket welding.
The flange can be either made from ASTM B564 UNS N08825 forging or ASTM B424 Gr. N08825 plate (only for blind and plate flanges) with a nominal composition of 42Ni-21.5Cr-3Mo-2.3Cu.

Application of Incoloy 825 Flange

Chemical Industry
Incoloy 825 flanges are commonly used in the chemical industry, including reactors, storage tanks, and pipelines.
Chemical production often employs highly corrosive media, for example, strong acids (sulfuric, hydrochloric, and phosphoric), organic acids, and strong alkalis such as sodium hydroxide.
Incoloy 825 flanges can withstand the corrosive effects, maintaining sealing integrity and connection stability. This ensures the safe and stable operation of chemical production processes.
Marine Engineering and Shipbuilding
Incoloy 825 flanges offer exceptional resistance to the corrosive effects of high-salinity, chloride-rich seawater. They are employed in critical marine applications, including:
Seawater cooling systems for offshore platforms and ships
Seawater desalination equipment
Various pipeline connection components
These flanges ensure long-term reliability by withstanding continuous seawater erosion and mechanical loads, which effectively prevents corrosion and extends equipment service life.
Oil and Gas Industry
In the oil and gas industry, Incoloy 825 flanges are critical components to ensure the safety of equipment connections.
The oil and gas industry often contains corrosive environments with acidic gases such as hydrogen sulfide and carbon dioxide. Similarly, refining equipment that processes sulfur-containing crude oil is exposed to complex corrosive media.
Incoloy 825 flanges are widely used to connect oil well pipelines, refining towers, valves, and other equipment. They are resistant to high temperatures, high pressure, and highly corrosive environments, ensuring pipeline integrity and leak prevention.
Environmental Protection and Wastewater Treatment
In the field of environmental protection and wastewater treatment, Incoloy 825 flanges are suitable for handling various corrosive media. In industrial wastewater treatment, electroplating and chemical wastewater often contain strong acids, strong alkalis, or heavy metal ions.
Additionally, pipelines carrying corrosive gases such as chlorine and hydrogen sulfide in sewage treatment plants require special protection. Incoloy 825 flanges can withstand these harsh working conditions, ensuring structural strength and sealing integrity of the equipment.
They effectively resist corrosion from wastewater and aggressive gases, thereby supporting the reliable operation of environmental protection and wastewater treatment systems.
Energy Industry
In the energy industry, particularly nuclear and thermal power, Incoloy 825 flanges play a critical role in this context.
They are often used in nuclear power plants, including the seawater-side pipelines of condensers and steam generators. In the desulfurization and denitrification systems of thermal power plants, Incoloy 825 flanges are also employed to handle corrosive media containing bisulfite.
They can withstand the dual challenges of high temperatures and corrosion, ensuring the stability and safety of pipeline connections.
