Properties of Incoloy 825 Flange

 

Incoloy 825 is a high-nickel alloy with chromium, molybdenum and titanium in it. So the material is strong.

 

The 825 Incoloy Orifice Flange resists corrosion from both reducing and oxidizing substances. This makes it suitable for use in seawater and acid production applications.

 

The flanges follow different standards. One example is the ANSI B16.5 Alloy 825 Blind Flange.

Properties of Incoloy 825 Flange

The Class 150 Incoloy 825 socket weld flange resists even highly corrosive reducing environments containing sulfuric or phosphoric acid.

 

Like many chromium-containing alloys, Alloy 825 flanges offer excellent resistance to oxidizing environments. Their high mechanical strength is enhanced by cold working ranging from cryogenic temperatures up to 540°C.

 

ASME B16.5 Incoloy 825 flanges can only be made from annealed material. It can be furnished in a variety of types, including welding neck, slip-on, blind, threaded, lap joint, long weld neck, and socket welding.

 

The flange can be either made from ASTM B564 UNS N08825 forging or ASTM B424 Gr. N08825 plate (only for blind and plate flanges) with a nominal composition of 42Ni-21.5Cr-3Mo-2.3Cu.
