Incoloy 800 (UNS N08800)

Incoloy 800 is a Fe-Ni-Cr austenitic alloy for moderate corrosion/oxidation resistance up to 815°C. It prevents embrittlement during prolonged exposure to oxidizing atmospheres while resisting carburization and nitridation. Key applications include electrical heating elements, industrial furnace muffles, and steam generator tubing in nuclear reactors.

 

Incoloy 800H (UNS N08810)

This controlled-carbon variant of 800 alloy is solution-annealed to achieve optimized high-temperature creep strength. The high carbon content facilitates formation of carbides at grain boundaries, enhancing structural stability above 550°C. Its stress-to-rupture performance at 700–900°C makes it suitable for petrochemical cracking tube systems, radiant burner parts, and heat treatment fixtures demanding cyclic thermal stability.

 

Incoloy 800HT (UNS N08811)

Stricter Ti/Al control and solution heat treatment, 800HT offers superior elevated-temperature tensile/creep strength beyond 800H. Its γ′-phase precipitation strengthens grain boundaries, retaining structural integrity under thermal cycling conditions up to 1150°C. Primary uses include gas turbine ducting, hydrocarbon reforming furnace tubes, nuclear heat exchangers, and other critical environments requiring creep resistance.

 

Incoloy 825 (UNS N08825)

As a Ni-Fe-Cr-Mo-Cu chemically resistant alloy, Incoloy 825 excels in aggressive reducing/oxidizing acids. It provides robust anti-corrosion against pitting, chloride-ion cracking, sulfuric/phosphoric acids, and seawater. Its applications: chemical processing gears, oil/gas downhole components, acid production units, marine fasteners, and flue gas desulfurization systems where sulfuric/chloride attack prevails.
