Stainless Steel 316 / UNS S31600 / 1.4401

316 stainless steel has a better resistance to chemicals and chlorides (like salt) than ss 304. When it comes to applications with chlorinated solutions or exposure to salt, grade 316 stainless steel is considered superior, so it is usally called marine grade stainless steel.

When it comes to pipe fittings, stainless steel 316 offers plenty of advantages over other materials thanks to its superior corrosion resistance and mechanical properties which make it ideal for use in demanding industrial applications – particularly those involving contact with saltwater or corrosive elements.
