The addition of copper to N08904 material improves resistance to strong reducing acids such as sulfuric, phosphoric, and acetic acids, surpassing traditional chromium-nickel TP316/L and TP317/L stainless steels. Its lower carbon content makes it easier to weld, and its high-temperature resistance reaches approximately 450°C.

1.4539 Aisi 904l Heat Treatment:
Grade 904L stainless steel pipes can be heat-treated at 1090 to 1175°C, following by rapid cooling.
904l Tubing Heat Resistance Temperature Range
Maintains strength and toughness down to -196°C
Maximum continuous operating temperature in oxidizing environments up to approximately 450°C
Can withstand intermittent high temperatures up to 600°C
904l Stainless Steel Tube Weldability
904L is an ultra-low carbon steel (C ≤ 0.02%), offering excellent weldability and resisting thermal cracking. Preheating and post-weld heat treatment are not required.
