Alloy 31 (N08031, 1.4562) nickel-based alloy is a nitrogen-containing iron-nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy with properties between super austenitic stainless steels and existing nickel-based alloys.
Alloy 31 characteristics
1. outstanding corrosion resistance in alkaline and acidic halide-containing media
2. excellent resistance to sulfuric acid, even in highly concentrated form
3. excellent resistance to corrosion and erosion in phosphoric acid media
4. outstanding resistance to surface corrosion and local corrosion in chlorine dioxide bleaching plants in paper production
5. excellent resistance in reducing and oxidizing media as well as in boiling azeotropic nitric acid
