904L stainless steel flange is a high-performance pipe connection component made of super austenitic stainless steel. Its core material UNS N08904 (EN 1.4539) is favored by the industrial field for its excellent corrosion resistance. The unique formula of this alloy contains 19-23% chromium, 23-28% nickel, 4-5% molybdenum and 1-2% copper. Through high alloying design, N08904 has excellent stability in a variety of harsh environments.

Compared with conventional 316L stainless steel, the molybdenum content of 904L is significantly increased. With the synergistic effect of copper elements, ss 904l's corrosion resistance to reducing acid media (especially sulfuric acid and phosphoric acid) and chloride ion environments is increased by about 3-5 times. In sulfuric acid solution with a concentration of ≤50%, the annual corrosion rate can be controlled below 0.1mm.

Stainless Steel 904L Flange's low carbon content (≤0.02%) and precise nitrogen control (≤0.1%) effectively prevent the risk of intergranular corrosion in the heat affected zone of welding. At the same time, the single-phase austenite structure obtained by solid solution treatment gives the material good low-temperature toughness, and can maintain stable mechanical properties in a wide temperature range of -196°C to 400°C.
