The 347 stainless steel plate grade is a stabilized alloy, due to its columbium and tantalum component within. Ideal for long-term work life in high temperatures (800-1500ºF), 347 Stainless Steel plate is also resistant to intergranular corrosion in the chromium carbide precipitation range. High creep and stress rupture properties are part of their superior mechanical properties. Stainless steel 347H plate has higher carbon content and provides higher strength at a temperature above 1000 F. The carbon content of alloy 347H enables dual certifications in most occurrences. It also offers high resistance to inter-granular corrosion in exposed to high temperature. This also offers greater and shorter creep and offers excellent mechanical properties.
