Stainless steel 321 flange refers to a pipe connector which is widely used in the connection of pipeline systems, valves, pumps and other equipment in various industrial fields. SS 321 flanges come in various types, including weld neck (WN), long weld neck (LWN), slip-on (SO), socket weld (SW), blind, plate, threaded, lap joint, orifice, and spectacle blind flanges. Additionally, there are special products available, such as rings, forgings, discs, and flange sleeves, catering to diverse industrial applications and requirements.

 

Stainless steel 321 Flange is a kind of austenitic stainless steel. In addition to containing high chromium (about 17% to 19%) and nickel (about 9% to 12%) in its chemical composition, titanium (Ti) is added as a stabilizing element. The addition of titanium effectively inhibits the precipitation of chromium carbide in high temperature environments, thereby significantly improving the material's resistance to intergranular corrosion.

 

This feature makes UNS S32100 flanges particularly suitable for applications in high temperature environments. For example, in the petrochemical, thermal power generation, aerospace and nuclear energy industries, they are often used to connect pipeline systems that need to withstand high temperatures and corrosive media.
