Stainless steel 317L Plates is a molybdenum-bearing austenitic stainless steel with greatly increased resistance to chemical attack as compared to the conventional chromium-nickel austenitic stainless steels. Due to its chemical composition, this steel plate offers higher creep strength, stress to rupture and tensile strength, specifically at elevated temperatures. This stainless steel plate is a low carbon grade which results in greater resistance to sensitization during welding and other important thermal processes. Stainless Steel 317L Plates combines good fabricability, high mechanical properties and has excellent resistance to solutions of higher concentration. Due to its improved corrosion resistance, good formability and excellent formability make it an appropriate choice for a number of applications in industries. 317L Stainless Steel Coil can be cold worked and cannot be hardened by heat treatment. 317L Stainless Steel Strip also provides ease of fabrication and good mechanical properties.
