SS Urea 3I6L Modified Plates are a specialized type of stainless steel plates designed for use in urea production plants. These plates are constructed using high-quality stainless steel grade 316L, which is modified to meet the stringent requirements of the urea industry. Urea is a key component in the production of fertilizers, and the corrosive nature of the urea synthesis process demands materials with exceptional corrosion resistance and durability.

316L mod stainless steel plate is a modified stainless steel with extremely low silicon content and much higher molybdenum content. The low carbon content combined with a good chemical balance (low silicon and nickel content close to 14%) makes the alloy completely austenitic with no intermetallic precipitation. Under solution annealing and water quenching conditions, the ferrite content is kept below 0.5%. The alloy is designed to improve corrosion resistance in urea carbonate environments.
