Stainless Steel 316H Flange
JN ALLOY supplies 316H SO flanges, 316H WN flanges, UNS S31609 blind flanges, 1.4919 316H plain flanges, ASTM A182 UNS S31609 SW flanges, 316H spectacle blind flanges, 316H threaded flanges, 1.4919 spacer ring,UNS S31609 paddle blind/blank, 316H bleed/test/drip ring, 316H reducing flange.
Stainless steel 316H flange is a pipe connector made of 316H stainless steel, designed for high temperature environments and suitable for industrial scenarios that require long-term creep resistance and corrosion resistance. UNS S31609 is a high-carbon variant of 316 stainless steel (carbon content ≥ 0.04%). By optimizing the carbon content, its mechanical stability at high temperatures above 500°C is improved, while retaining the molybdenum (2-3%), chromium (16-18%) and nickel (10-14%) components of the 316 series, and it has both chloride corrosion resistance, pitting resistance and oxidation resistance. SS 316h's manufacturing follows standards such as ASTM A182. Common types include butt welding flanges (WN), blind flanges (BL), etc., which are widely used in oil refining, boiler systems and high-temperature chemical pipelines.
Compared with ordinary 316 flanges, Stainless Steel 316H flange are strengthened by solid solution of carbon elements, which significantly improves high-temperature strength and creep resistance, and are particularly suitable for continuous high-temperature conditions (such as heat exchangers and steam pipelines). Although both are resistant to acid, alkali and seawater corrosion, stainless steel 1.4919 focuses more on structural integrity at extreme temperatures, while 316 flanges are more used in medium and low temperature corrosion environments, such as offshore platforms or food processing equipment. In terms of manufacturing process, 316H needs to strictly control the solution treatment temperature (≥1040°C) to stabilize the carbide distribution and avoid the risk of intergranular corrosion caused by sensitization.
Application of Stainless Steel 316H Flanges
Stainless Steel 316H flange are core components of thermal power generation, oil cracking units and nuclear energy systems, used to connect high-temperature steam pipes, reactors and pressure vessels to ensure sealing and durability. 316h stainless steel's high-temperature oxidation resistance is also suitable for heat treatment furnaces, gas turbine exhaust pipes and other scenarios, and its excellent resistance to sulfide corrosion makes it an ideal choice for sulfur-containing medium pipelines in refineries. Combining the high-temperature performance of 316H material and the detachable advantages of flange structure, this product achieves a balance between safety and economy in energy, heavy industry and special equipment. Jinie Technology (Jiangsu) Co., LTD supply all different types and scales of flanges. Please feel free to contact us for further product information and pricing.
