Monel 400 Flanges is one such type of flange that is made up of monel 400 grade that is an excellent high performance alloy used in high pressure application. Monel Alloy Flanges offer resistance to alkali and acidic environments. Monel 400 Pipe Flangesare said to exhibit good performance in temperature ranging from sub zero to 1000 degrees F. cold working process is used to harden the ASTM B564 UNS N04400 Pipe Flange. Monel 400 Flanges are made up of a nickel copper super alloy that is corrosion resistant and strong. The material could be welded easily and formed well. There are different pressure classes of these flanges ranging from Class 150 Monel UNS N04400 Flanges to class 2500, and PN6 to PN64. The classes define the pressure capacities. The monel 400 flanges have 63% nickel and 28% copper in the composition which makes them stronger. The minimum yield strength of the material is at 195MPa and the minimum tensile strength is 480MPa. There are different standards to cover the different nominal bore sizes of the flanges.
