HASTELLOY X alloy (UNS N06002) is a nickel-chromium-iron-molybdenum alloy that possesses an exceptional combination of oxidation resistance, fabricability and high-temperature strength. It has also been found to be exceptionally resistant to stress-corrosion cracking. Hastelloy X pipe has excellent corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance. ASTM B619 Hastelloy X Pipes are highly immune to cracking in the reducing atmospheres and resist carburization. This grade of Pipes exhibits non-magnetism, and their high melting point helps them provide great strength at varying temperatures. Hastelloy X Pipes can sustain corrosive cracking. The molybdenum element makes these pipes stronger in solid solution, which contributes to superior fabrication attributes. On the other hand, they withstand neutral environments. Hastelloy X Pipes are relatively tough pipe products.
