Hastelloy B3 Flanges are highly resistant to corrosion by hydrochloric, sulfuric, phosphoric, acetic, and formic acids, and to chlorine – all of which are common in sanitary processing. It is one of the few alloys resistant to wet chloride gas, hypochlorite and chlorine dioxide solutions.
