Nickel based Monel 400 is a superalloy which is synonymous with ductility as a property. Which is why, it is possible to shape Monel 400 Rod into various shapes such as round, flat, hex, square etc. This superalloy Monel 400 Flat Bar has good resistance to chlorine based compounds, for instance, fluorine hydrogen chloride, dry chlorine, and hydrogen fluoride gases. Since the Monel 400 round bar is free from being susceptible to chlorine stress related corrosion, they can be used in several industries including marine engineering along with pulp and paper industry. Being one of the few materials that can handle and exhibit good resistance to hydrofluoric acid, the Alloy 400 Rod is noted for its use in application involving the manufacture of this particular acid. Over a wide range of temperature, say from subzero to about as hoised temperature of about 1020° F, the Monel 400 Hex Bar exhibits superior mechanical properties.
