Alloy 20 Sheet / Plate is made up of an austenitic stainless steel that is a nickel iron chromium alloy. It is resistant to aggressive media. The material has copper content which makes it resistant against sulfuric acid as well. The Alloy 20 steel sheets can be of ASTMB463 specification. This specification covers stainless steel sheets and plates for high temperature, high pressure services. The uns n08020 plate is strong with 551MPa minimum tensile strength and 241MPa minimum yield strength. With this strength the plate is good for storage tankers, containers and panels. The w.nr. 2.4660 sheet has high resistance against chloride ion, sulfuric acid and other corrosive media. So the sheets could be used as cladding material over other corrosive material made structures.
