SS Urea 3I6L Modified Pipes are a specialized type of stainless steel pipes designed for use in urea production plants. These pipes are constructed using high-quality stainless steel grade 316L, which is modified to meet the stringent requirements of the urea industry. Urea is a key component in the production of fertilizers, and the corrosive nature of the urea synthesis process demands materials with exceptional corrosion resistance and durability.
316LMod stainless steel pipe has a strong intergranular corrosion ability. When the carbon content of less than 0.03% of ultra-low carbon stainless steel due to the extremely low carbon content, so that the stainless steel in the sensitized state (austenitic stainless steel sensitization temperature range of 450-850 ℃) in the intergranular precipitation of chromium carbide Cr23C6 significantly reduced, and has good resistance to intergranular corrosion. In addition, the use of higher chromium-containing parent material and welding materials can make the stainless steel 316Lmod body surface generate a dense organization of the oxide film, thereby improving corrosion resistance, such as with 25Cr-22Ni-2Mo type materials, which can achieve more satisfactory corrosion resistance.

Because of this the seamless pipe could be used with precision in high sensitive calculations and applications. The ASTM A312 Tp316Lmod Pipe is an example of a seamless pipe type in this steel grade. The UNS S31603 Stainless Steel Welded Pipe gives additional strength at welded joints. The SS 316Lmod Erw Pipe is electric resistance welded and could be used with ease for welded applications.
